Each day, NS moves between 15 and 28 trains along the north-south line. The Class I improved track and signaling to support faster trains and expedite service for the line's customers.

NS previously increased train speed to 30 mph between Macon and Griffin, Ga., and plans to boost speed from 10 mph to 30 mph between Griffin and Atlanta in early April.
