Toyota Logistics Services recently bestowed its 2005 President’s Award to Norfolk Southern Corp. The shippers’ highest logistics provider honor recognizes outstanding performance in customer service, on-time delivery and quality.
Last year, NS moved Toyota vehicles from plants in Georgetown, Ky., and Princeton, Ind. The Class I also received the automaker’s Logistics Excellence Award for On-Time Performance, which recognizes rail carriers’ efforts to meet transit time requirements.
Last week, BNSF Railway Co. announced it received Toyota Logistics Services’ Excellence in Quality Performance Award for 2005.
