NS taps Moorman as top corporate services exec

On Jan. 28, Norfolk Southern Railway named Charles Moorman senior vice president of corporate services, effective Feb. 1.
Since 1999, Moorman has served as president of NS subsidiary Thoroughbred Technology and Telecommunications, and he'll continue in that capacity along with managing his new duties. Moorman will report to NS Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer David Goode.
In 1970, he joined NS as a co-op student, and later served in positions of
increasing responsibility. In 1992, Moorman was named vice president of personnel and labor relations, and later served as vice president of information technology.
