NTSB: Engleman to chair, Rosenker to serve board

On March 24, Ellen Engleman was sworn in as chairman and member of National Transportation Safety Board. She'll serve a two-year chairman term and five-year board-member term, expiring Dec. 31, 2007.
Since September 2001, Engleman served as administrator of U.S. Department of Transportation's Research and Special Programs Administration.
She previously served as chief executive officer of Electricore Inc.; director of corporate and government affairs, and board member of Direct Relief International; and governmental affairs executive for GTE North Inc.
Engleman also co-founded the Vitamin Angel Alliance, and served as a congressional fellow in Sen. Richard Lugar's office and personal assistant to former Secretary of Labor Lynn Martin.
In 1999, she was commissioned a U.S. Naval Reserve officer and serves in naval public affairs in Jacksonville, Fla.
Meanwhile, Mark Rosenker was sworn in as an NTSB board member. He'll serve a term that expires Dec. 31, 2005.
Since January 2001, Rosenker served as deputy assistant to President Bush and director of the White House Military Office.
He previously served as managing director of United Network for Organ Sharing's Washington, D.C., office, after spending 23 years serving as vice president, public affairs for the Electronic Industries Alliance.
In 1969, Rosenker joined the Air Force, and currently serves as an Air Force Reserve major general.
