Serving as primary contractor for an MTA New York City Transit (NYCT) project, Underwriters Laboratories Inc. recently awarded a contract to Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) to inspect track, vehicle, signaling and structural equipment for the agency.
As inspection consultant, PB is responsible for developing inspection plans and procedures, performing inspections and participating in quality audits of suppliers. The firm also will analyze and evaluate current NYCT standards, specifications and procurement drawings, and recommend enhancements to existing standards.
