NY/NJ port authority seeks new revenue sources

advertisement

Since 2001, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has spent an average of $400 million annually to improve security, and the cost is beginning to take a toll. So, the agency recently contracted two firms to develop and manage new advertising and sponsorship programs to help boost revenue.

JC Decaux will help the port authority develop new creative advertising campaigns; a joint venture between Active Public Enterprise Group and aXcess Partners Worldwide will develop and manage a program designed to attract sponsors for port authority facilities, information centers and kiosks.
