Bombardier Transportation recently obtained a $100 million contract from Rotterdam, Netherlands, public transit agency RET to design and build 21 FLEXITY Swift vehicles.
Scheduled to be delivered between January and November 2008, the light-rail vehicles will feature a new drivers’ cab interior design and three-car bi-directional configuration. The cars will operate on the new RandstadRail system, which will connect Rotterdam, The Hague and Zoetermeer.
