Next year's 'Day on the Hill' set for March 8
advertisement
On March 8, hundreds of representatives from railroads, rail labor unions, and rail industry suppliers and associations will descend on Capitol Hill during the 2006 “Railroad Day on the Hill.”
During the one-day event, officials from the Association of American Railroads, American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, Railway Supply Institute and National Railroad and Construction Maintenance Association will join railroad and union representatives to meet with congressmen and lobby for rail-related legislation.
In the past, rail industry officials have used the Day on the Hill to lobby for the reauthorization of the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century and passage of the short-line tax credit bill.
