Ohio to review state rail plan

The Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) will meet today to review how a draft state rail plan might help advance major rail investments in Ohio.
Spurred by federal stimulus dollars and public-private partnership funding, rail projects in the state range from a major intermodal yard to repairing a critical rail tunnel to rehabilitating a railroad bridge in Columbus.
“Our commissioners are keenly aware that improving Ohio’s competitive business edge depends increasingly on improved logistics and that rail gets that job done very well,” said ORDC Executive Director Matt Dietrich in a prepared statement.
