Pacer Global Logistics (PGL) recently received the 2003 Intermodal Carrier Quality Award from customer Ryder System Inc., marking the fifth-consecutive year the third-party logistics provider has obtained Ryder's annual honor.

"The award recognizes Pacer for its continued excellence as an
intermodal marketing company," said Chris Keller, Ryder manager of truckload procurement, in a prepared statement. "PGL enables us to provide competitive and reliable intermodal transportation solutions for our customers."

A logistics and supply-chain management service provider, Ryder annually moves more than $2 billion worth of freight on all transportation modes, including intermodal, truck, rail, air and ocean.

"While our companies compete in some areas, we are proud to be
collaborating with Ryder in helping them move more of their customers'
freight intermodally," said Jeff Brashares, president of PGL's rail services.
