Peek and Pantier assume GM roles for Watco; Cooper takes on CSX account for R.J. Corman

Watco Transportation Services Inc. (WTS) recently promoted John Peek from assistant general manager to general manager of the Alabama Warrior Railway and named Chad Pantier general manager of the Louisiana Southern Railroad.
Peek joined Watco in 2005 as an engineer/conductor with the start up of the Alabama Southern Railroad and later served as assistant trainmaster and trainmaster. He also was a trainmaster for the Alabama Warrior Railway. From 1995 to 1998, Peek worked for CSX Transportation from in various capacities.
Most recently a senior trainmaster for the the Kansas City Southern Railway Co., Pantier previously served the Class I as terminal director and trainmaster. He also served stints as trainmaster, road foreman of engines, conductor and engineer for Norfolk Southern Railway.
Meanwhile, R.J. Corman Railroad Group has appointed Matt Cooper CSX corporate account manager. He will be based in Jacksonville, Fla. Most recently business development manager for R.J. Corman Derailment Services L.L.C., Cooper has held a number of sales management positions for the derailment services unit since 2001.
