Pennsylvania Southwestern Railroad Inc. (PSWR) recently filed a notice of exemption with Surface Transportation Board to lease from J&L Specialty Steel L.L.C. a 10.5-mile line in Midland, Pa.

PSWR plans to operate the line, which is located within J&L's steel plant.
Earlier this month, Watco Cos. Inc. acquired 13-mile PSWR from Midland Terminal Co.

PSWR primarily serves J&L's steel mill, moving scrap steel and steel products. The short line interchanges with Norfolk Southern Railway.
