Pittsburgh port authority posts ridership gains in July

Last month, the Port Authority of Allegheny County carried 6 million passengers on its light-rail, bus, Monongahela Incline and ACCESS systems, a 6 percent increase compared with July 2007's total.

Average weekday light-rail ridership rose 17.3 percent and Monongahela Incline ridership increased 11 percent.
