Port Authority chooses World Trade Center station design/build firm

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey recently selected Downtown Design Partnership to design and build a permanent World Trade Center Port Authority Trans-Hudson terminal.

The partnership comprises a joint venture between DMJM+HARRIS and STV, and renowned architect Santiago Calatrava S.A. The team plans to work within the World Trade Center Site Master Plan framework to design the station, which is expected to serve as a major regional transportation hub, and cultural and retail destination, according to a prepared statement.

Parsons, William Nicholas Boduova & Associates, Severud Associates Consulting Engineers P.C., Jaros, Baum & Bolles, and Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers also will serve as design-team members.
