In reviewing this year's achievements, Port Metro Vancouver officials identified air emission reductions and collaborations with railroads, trucking firms and terminal operators among the port’s "Top 10" successes.

The Top 10 list for 2010 includes:
• Emission reductions: Container trucks met 100 percent compliance with new federal emissions standards;
• Information sharing with rail, trucking and terminal operations partners to save money and time. For example, the port and CN signed an agreement in May to reinforce reciprocal accountability and improve customer service;
• Infrastructure investments, including $9 billion at the Vancouver Gateway;
• More efficient customer service by working with railways and terminal operators to reduce wait times; and
• Increased cargo volumes.
