UP recently awarded Barriger — a special collection of the St. Louis Mercantile Library at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Barriger — a $50,000 grant, which the library plans to use to acquire "rare and unique materials, including books, documents and other archival materials, and artifacts related to the history of railroading in America," according to a prepared statement.
