President to nominate Victory Transportation's Simpson to top FTA post

President Bush plans to nominate James Simpson as Federal Transit Administrator, the White House announced Friday.

Currently chairman and chief executive officer of Victory Worldwide Transportation, Simpson previously served as a commissioner for New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Last summer, Jennifer Dorn resigned as administrator to join the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development as U.S. alternative executive director.
