Banverket Consulting recently contracted Prover® Technology to ensure the safety of a new interlocking system installed at the Tegelbacken station in downtown Stockholm, Sweden.

Part of a $37 million upgrade to Stockholm Central Station — Sweden’s largest public transportation hub — the Tegelbacken interlocking system will enable the station to handle 500 trains daily.

Prover will provides its iLock automated verification tool, model Tegelbacken’s relay-based interlocking system, and perform safety verification covering normal operation and hardware fault modes.

The Tegelbacken station upgrades are scheduled to be complete in June 2006.
