Puget Sound & Pacific Railroad Co. (PS&P) recently filed a notice of exemption with Surface Transportation Board to lease and operate Union Pacific Railroad's 1.85-mile line between Blakeslee Junction and Raisch, Wash.

The line generates about $50,000 in annual revenue, PS&P officials said in the filing.

The 147-mile short line formerly was owned by ParkSierra Rail Group, which was purchased by RailAmerica Inc. in late 2001.
