The Railway Association of Canada’s (RAC) Dangerous Goods Team has answered emergency responders’ call for a Canadian-based training course covering hazardous material incidents on railway property.

The "Railway Emergency Response" course will be held June 1-5 at the Justice Institute of British Columbia in Maple Ridge, B.C.

The 40-hour course will address responses to a railway haz-mat incident and be taught by experienced instructors, according to the RAC.

For more information, call Andy Ash, RAC’s manager of dangerous goods, at 905-953-8991, send him an email to Andya@railcan.ca or log onto www.railcan.ca.
