R.J. Corman Equipment Co. L.L.C. (RJCE) recently filed a notice of exemption with Surface Transportation Board to acquire from Lexington & Ohio Railroad Co. Inc. a 14.9-mile line from Lexington, Ky., to Versailles, Ky.

RJCE subsidiary R.J. Corman Railroad Co./Central Kentucky Lines would lease and operate the line. Through stock ownership, RJCE controls eight Class III rail carriers.

The railroads expect to complete the deal this month.
