Next month, the Railway Supply Institute Inc. (RSI) plans to hold its annual spring legislative conference at the Villas of Grand Cypress in Orlando, Fla.

To be held March 28-31, the event "provides decision-makers on Capitol Hill an opportunity to meet RSI members and learn more about … how a strong railway supply industry is important to economic growth and the creation of jobs in America," according to a prepared statement.

RSI officials expect Stephen Gardner, professional staff member of the Surface Transportation Subcommittee of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, and Matt Wallen, chief of staff for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee's Subcommittee on Railroads, to attend. The association also has invited Amtrak President David Gunn.

For information, call RSI Assistant Vice President Nicole Brewin at 202-347-4664 or send an email to brewin@railwaysupply.org. Registration is available online at www.rsiweb.org/committees/2004AnnualRSISpringLegislativeConference.htm.
