Raab, Russell take on GM roles at southern short lines

The Louisiana & North West Railroad (LNW) recently named Johnnie Raab general manager, according to the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s latest “Views & News” newsletter.
He has more than 30 years of railroading experience, including the coordination and presentation of FRA Region 5 safety and training seminars. The 63-mile LNW is owned by Patriot Rail Corp. and interchanges with Kansas City Southern Railway Co. and Union Pacific Railroad.
Meanwhile, Terminal Railway-Alabama State Docks named Mike Russell GM. He has 35 years of railroading experience with BNSF Railway Co. and its predecessors. The 75-mile railroad is an Alabama State Port Authority subsidiary.
