Rail shippers association installs new officers

Last week, the North American Rail Shippers Association (NARS) elected Allan Roach president during its annual meeting in Chicago. Roach is senior vice president of marketing for the Watco Cos. Inc.
Other current NARS officers include First Vice President Jennifer Krueger, SVP of marketing for Plum Creek Marketing Inc.; Second Vice President Glen Courtwright, director of strategic operations for Georgia-Pacific L.L.C.; Treasurer George Macko, manager of transportation for USG Corp.; and Secretary Richard Dodd, president of RDC Logistics.
NARS also announced that next year’s annual meeting will be held May 26-28, 2010, at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.
