Yesterday, RailAmerica Inc. announced plans to create five transportation logistic centers (TLC) and a revenue protection center (RPC) to administer customer service, operations support and revenue processes for the short-line holding company’s 41 railroads.

The TLCs will be located in Roseburg, Ore.; Phillipsburg, Kan.; Vassar, Mich.; Stellarton, Nova Scotia; and Jacksonville, Fla. The RPC will be located in St. Albans, Vt.

Managers of each TLC and the RPC will report to Director of Transportation Logistics, Revenue Protection and Systems Carolyn Stefanic. RailAmerica officials expect to transition from current operations to the TLCs and RPC during the next six months.
