RailPower names Maier president/CEO

On April 3, RailPower Technologies Corp. named Jim Maier president and chief executive officer.


From 1986 to 1989, Maier served as commercial director for Bombardier Corp. From 1989 to 1995, he served as general manager for GE Transportation Systems, where he was responsible for locomotive businesses in Asia, China and Australia.


"In Jim, we have a leader who has extensive senior-management experience in the railroad industry," said RailPower Chairman Norm Gish, who had been serving as interim president and CEO since March 17, when Gerard Koldyk resigned.
