RailTrends® 2016's agenda for the Nov. 17-18 conference at the W Hotel in New York City will feature well-known names from Class Is, short lines and regionals and the international rail industry.

Sponsored by Progressive Railroading, the annual event for the rail industry's "who's who," also will offer plenty of networking opportunities.

Attendees will get a current read on 2016 and what to expect in 2017 from Class I executives including Patrick Ottensmeyer, president and chief executive officer of Kansas City Southern; Dean Piacente, vice president of intermodal at CSX; Beth Whited, VP and general manager-chemicals at Union Pacific Railroad; and Michael McClellan, VP industrial products at Norfolk Southern Corp.

Claude Mongeau, CN's former president and CEO, will be honored as the 2016 Railroad Innovator.

Regional and short-line executives will provide timely insight, as well. Among those scheduled to present at the conference are Ronald Batory, president and chief operating officer of Conrail; Jim Hertwig, president and CEO of Florida East Coast Railway; David Ebbrecht, senior VP of Northeast region railroads at Genesee & Wyoming Inc.; and Rick Webb, CEO of Watco Cos LLC.

Lance Hockridge, managing director and CEO of Aurizon, will provide an international perspective of the industry.
