Progressive Railroading will hold its annual RailTrends conference Sept. 30-Oct. 1 at the Affinia Manhattan in New York City.

The two-day summit — supported by independent rail industry analyst Tony Hatch — is designed for railroaders, suppliers, equipment lessors, finance institutions, shippers and other stakeholders in the rail industry's growth.

RailTrends' speaker roster includes:
• John Kaiser, Union Pacific Railroad's vice president of intermodal;
• John Giles, RailAmerica Inc.'s president and CEO;
• Kevin Kaufman, BNSF Railway Co.'s group VP-agricultural products;
• Jean-Jacques Ruest, Canadian National Railway Co.'s senior VP of marketing;
• James Hixon, Norfolk Southern Corp.'s executive VP of law and corporate relations;
• U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown, (D-Fla.);
• U.S. Rep. John Mica, (R-Fla. - invited);
• Ed Hamberger, the Association of American Railroads' president and CEO;
• Bruce Carlton, the National Industrial Transportation League's president and CEO; and
• Jason Hayes, the American Coal Council's communications director.

RailTrends' motto, "Financing Capacity and Growth in the Railway Industry," signals how the educational and networking event has emerged as a touchstone meeting for the rail industry. In the short time since its launch in 2005, RailTrends is now nationally recognized as a unique meeting-of-the-minds in the rail financing industry.

Miller Tabak & Co. L.L.C. is the event's platinum sponsor, GATX Rail Corp. is a gold sponsor and RailSolutions is a silver sponsor. To learn more about RailTrends 2008, contact Cory Ampe at 414-228-7701 or cory.ampe@tradepress.com, or log onto www.railtrends.com.
