In one week, Progressive Railroading will present its annual RailTrends® conference in New York City. To be held Nov. 21-22 at the W New York Hotel, this year's event will feature presentations by two Class I CEOs.

On Nov. 21 at 9:15 a.m. (EST), Canadian Pacific CEO E. Hunter Harrison will deliver a keynote address about the Class I's new perspective on operations and growth. The former president and CEO of CN, who has nearly 50 years of rail industry experience, assumed the top leadership post at CP last year.

On Nov. 22 at 8:30 a.m. (EST), Norfolk Southern Corp. Chairman and CEO Wick Moorman will provide a keynote address after he receives Progressive Railroading's Railroad Innovator Award, which recognizes an individual's outstanding achievement in the rail industry.

During his eight-year tenure as CEO, Moorman has led a charge to inculcate a safety culture change, embraced the link between technology, operating efficiency and productivity, and pushed the strategic partnership envelope in key rail corridors, which has strengthened NS' intermodal business.

Among 22 other scheduled speakers, RailTrends also will include presentations by: NS President James Squires; Kansas City Southern Senior Vice President of Intermodal and Automotive Brian Bowers; CSX Corp. Vice President and Chief Transportation Officer Cindy Sanborn; Genesee & Wyoming Inc. President and CEO Jack Hellmann; Watco Cos. L.L.C. CEO Rick Webb; Indiana Rail Road President and CEO Tom Hoback; Aurizon Managing Director and CEO Lance Hockridge; and Senior Transportation Analyst Tony Hatch, who serves as a RailTrends program consultant.
