Railinc rolls out short line-targeted software
advertisement
Railinc Corp. Oct. 5 launched a suite of Web-based software products designed to help short line officials better manage their businesses.
RailSync™ would offer small roads tools to increase efficiency, better manage information and more seamlessly integrate with North America's rail network through two initial offerings, Concur and Command.
Concur is designed to enable short lines to participate in the railroad industry's Interline Settlement System™, helping the railroads manage revenue, rates and freight billing, and create standard and custom reports.
Meanwhile, Command would support small roads' yard, train and industrial rail operations by enabling the railroads to perform Electronic Data Interchange and TRAIN II® interline-tracing messaging, report internal events and conduct standing track inventory. Command also is designed with links to back-end systems, enabling short lines to better manage financial and operational data.
