Railway Supply Association seeks college scholarship applicants

Railway Supply Association Inc. (RSA) recently began soliciting applicants for its 2003 college scholarship program.

Employees of RSA-member companies or an individual member of one of the Coordinated Mechanical Associations can request an application for a dependent child, stepchild, adopted child or grandchild.

Applicants must be full-time students seeking a four- or five-year bachelor's degree who will achieve sophomore status by the beginning of the fall term. RSA plans to offer 10 $6,000 scholarships to the best qualified applicants — based on academic achievement, citizenship and character, and essay content — regardless of association affiliation, RSA says.

Independent consultant Greater Richmond Area Scholarship Program Service will determine finalists and administer the scholarships.

Applications and related materials are due at RSA's Warrenville, Ill., office by March 14. RSA plans to notify winners on or before May 2.
