The Chlorine Institute Inc. (CI) recently named Frank Reiner president, effective June 14, to succeed Arthur Dungan. Following a six-week transition period, Dungan — the institute’s president since 2006 — will retire on July 31. In the meantime, Reiner will continue to serve as CI’s vice president of transportation and emergency preparedness.

Reiner joined CI in 2005 after serving Union Tank Car Co. for 16 years, lastly as director of shop operations.

Founded in 1924, CI represents the interests of chlor-alkali product producers and rail shippers, as well as packagers, distributors, users and suppliers.
