Report to show bright future for freight rail in 'green' economy

Tomorrow, the BlueGreen Alliance and the Economic Policy Institute will release a joint report showing that expansion of freight rail in the United States can create thousands of "green" jobs while reducing carbon emissions and the dependence on foreign oil, alliance officials said in a prepared statement.
The report will also provide policy recommendations to prepare the freight-rail infrastructure for future demand for more efficient modes of transportation.
