Retlif Testing Laboratories recently completed a 3,000-square-foot addition and various upgrades to its Ronkonkoma, N.Y., testing facility.


The company's headquarters now hosts dedicated shock and vibration testing space including an overhead crane; four-foot recessed concrete floor enclosure; micro-processor controlled, 1,000 cubic-foot walk-in chamber; explosive atmosphere chamber; and ingressive sand- and dust-test chamber.


The expansion enables Retlif to handle expanded sample sizes for various environmental tests, as well as maintain its headquarters in the Long Island, N.Y., area, said Retlif President Walter Poggi in a prepared statement.
