The Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) Program recently launched a redesigned website at www.createprogram.org that features a more user-friendly format, according to CREATE officials.

The site includes an interactive project map that provides a fact sheet on each of CREATE’s 70 projects, and an application that enables individuals, organizations and companies to register their support for the program.

Another new feature enables vendors and contractors who are interested in working on CREATE projects to enter their company's information into a vendor database and procurement e-mail notification list. In addition, individuals can sign up to receive general e-mail announcements.

CREATE officials also created a Facebook page to increase the public’s accessibility to information about the public/private partnership program.

CREATE’s planned rail and grade separation projects — including overpasses, underpasses, viaduct improvements, grade crossing enhancements, and track and signal upgrades — are designed to restructure, modernize and expand the Chicago region’s passenger- and freight-rail network.
