OmniTRAX Inc. recently appointed Peter Rickershauser to its board of advisors.

Recently retired as vice president of network development for BNSF Railway Co. and a management consultant, Rickershauser has more than 35 years of experience in transportation sales, marketing, management and strategic planning with several Class Is.

The board provides advice to OmniTRAX’s owners and management team on such topics as governance, growth and strategic planning/business development.

“[Rickershauser’s] vast experience, knowledge and relationships will assist us in reaching full potential in our lines of business,” said OmniTRAX Chief Executive Officer Gary Long in a prepared statement.

OmniTRAX owns and operates 16 regionals and short lines, as well as intermodal operations and related transportation businesses.
