Rocky Mountaineer workers join Teamsters Canada union

Earlier this month, Rocky Mountaineer workers voted in favor of joining the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC). Previously, the 130 workers were represented by the Canadian Auto Workers.

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Rocky Mountaineer provides tourist-rail and rail vacation services on four CN and Canadian Pacific routes in British Columbia and Alberta.

TCRC plans to soon begin negotiating a renewal of the workers collective agreement. The conference is part of the Teamsters Union in Canada, which represents about 125,000 workers in various trades.
