Ronsco Inc. reently announced plans to open a railroad axle processing facility in the southern United States in fourth-quarter 2008.

The state-of-the-art facility will have the capacity to finish 60,000 axles annually.

Ronsco, which operates an axle processing facility and distribution center in Toronto, and a distribution facility in Calgary, Alberta, has partnered with axle steel suppliers to complement North American axle processing operations.

"With more of our customers moving operations to the southern U.S. and Mexico, we must move with them," said Ronsco Chief Executive Officer Donald Regan in a prepared statement.
