Pennsylvania Gov. Edward Rendell recently announced that South Korea-based passenger-car builder Rotem Co. will move its U.S. headquarters to the Philadelphia Naval Yard. The company’s current headquarters is in Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

The state provided a $2.2 million investment package to the company, which is expected to create 215 jobs during the next three years.

A subsidiary of Hyundai Motors Group, Rotem recently obtained contracts to build passenger cars for Metrolink and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.
