SEPTA obtains $1 million to fund security programs

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) will receive $1 million from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to fund systems and programs designed to improve passenger and infrastructure security.

The agency previously received $6.4 million in federal security funding.

The sixth-largest U.S. public transit system, SEPTA provides 1 million daily trips.
