The Surface Transportation Board recently redesigned and upgraded its Web site at www.stb.dot.gov.
The board improved document search functions; added an "e-filing" application to enable parties to file documents electronically; created a function providing live and archived streaming video of proceedings; upgraded the site's layout and design; and formed electronic service lists.
"The board [undertook] this effort after I heard from numerous stakeholders that our existing site was difficult to use and outdated," said STB Chairman Roger Nober in a prepared statement. "One of my top priorities has been to make more agency information available to the public in an understandable and user-friendly format."
