STB invites public input on small rate-challenge procedures

On April 16, Surface Transportation Board plans to hold a public hearing to enable shippers, railroads and other interested parties to offer proposals on how the board should handle small rail-rate challenge cases.
Such cases aren't suitably handled under STB's constrained-market pricing procedures, according to a prepared statement.
Parties interested in attending the hearing should file a written notice with the board no later than April 8.
