Sacramento transit district receives high marks in rider poll

Seventy-two percent of Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) passengers gave the system high marks — five or higher on a seven-point scale – in a rider survey conducted between Feb. 28 and March 4 by an independent market research firm.

The five categories receiving the highest ratings were schedule information availability, operator safety and competency, operator friendliness and courteousness, system safety and weekday service frequency.

The agency received the lowest ratings for station shelters and benches, vehicle cleanliness, weekend service frequency and weekday closing time.

The on-board survey, which polled 2,300 light-rail and bus passengers, will be conducted every two to three years. SacRT also plans to survey the general public and employees.
