Tomorrow, San Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni) will launch weekend-only service on the new T-THIRD Line.
A 5.1-mile extension of the Muni light-rail system, the line will connect all of San Francisco’s Third Street neighborhoods, providing access to local ballparks, city hall, the Embarcadero and Bayview Opera House. The $648 million line includes 18 stations, and a maintenance and operations facility.
Muni plans to launch full service on the line April 7.
