Santa Clara VTA to open Vasona light-rail extension
advertisement
On Oct. 1, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will begin operating the Vasona Light Rail Line.
Trains will operate every 15 minutes during peak periods, and every 30 minutes during off-peak hours and on weekends between downtown Campbell and downtown San Jose. The line also will provide direct service to downtown Mountain View.
The $324 million extension includes eight stations. VTA plans to build a second Vasona phase between the Winchester station in Campbell to Vasona Junction in Los Gatos if the authority obtains funding.
