Sentry Technology to provide traveling CCTVs for South African railway
advertisement
South Africa’s Metro Rail Network plans to install more of Sentry Technology Corp.’s SentryVision® SmartTrack traveling closed-circuit television systems at a rail, bus and taxi terminal in Cape Town.
The railway will install the cameras on seven tracks. Earlier this year, Metro Rail installed the system on three tracks.
SmartTrack is designed to transmit video images from two pant, tilt and zoom cameras moving along an aluminum rail mounted on a platform ceiling or wall to provide unobstructed views of the terminal.
Sentry Technology currently is marketing the SmartTrack system to U.S. rail and bus agencies, and airports.
