The National Mediation Board (NMB) recently hired Aaron Seyedian as the first intern to join the agency under a Brunkenhoefer-Lee-Moneypenny Internship Program. Established in August, the program is designed to introduce students in a wide range of academic disciplines to the complexities of railroad and airline industry labor relations.
Seyedian graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor degree in international affairs last year and currently is a second-year student in the conflict resolution masters program at Georgetown University. Since September 2009, he also has served as a research assistant at Georgetown.
Through the internship program, Seyedian will be working on several research projects for the NMB’s chief of staff.
