Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
Because of the interest generated by an April 24 ethanol market breakout session at its annual meeting in Orlando, the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) has organized a “Get Smart on Ethanol” seminar to be held Aug. 8 at the American Coalition for Ethanol’s (ACE) annual conference in Kansas City, Mo.
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Crown Center Complex, the seminar will provide information similar to the “Ethanol – A Market Made for Short Lines?” session conducted at ASLRRA’s Orlando meeting, which attracted a standing-room-only crowd. The seminar will segue into ACE’s first session, entitled “Ethanol 101 Workshop: From Ground Breaking to Profit Making,” to be held at 2:30 p.m.
For more information on the event, call ASLRRA Vice President of Membership Kathy Cassidy at 202-585-3443, send an email to kcassidy@aslrra.org or log onto www.aslrra.org.
