On Jan. 6, the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s (ASLRRA) Legislative Policy Committee (LPC) will conduct its winter meeting at the National Railroad and Construction Maintenance Association's 2006 Conference and Exhibition in Palm Springs, Calif.
The meeting’s agenda includes the short line infrastructure tax credit, Railroad Day on the Hill and fundraising efforts. Comprising ASLRRA members, the LPC promotes the short line industry’s legislative agenda. Committee members set legislative goals and a lobbying strategy, and create grassroots programs.
