Short line secures tentative carmen agreement

On Nov. 27, National Mediation Board announced that South Buffalo Railway Co. and Transportation Communications International Union reached a tentative agreement covering Brotherhood of Railway Carmen Division-represented carmen.


No details were released for the agreement, which is subject to ratification.


In October 2001, Genesee & Wyoming Inc. purchased 52-mile South Buffalo Railway from Bethlehem Steel Corp.
